About Clawback

A Norwegian investment company building lasting value.

We own and scale sustainable, cash-flow positive businesses — focused on proven technologies that already generate returns and have clear paths to scale.

Our Story

Clawback was established to create a different kind of investment platform — one that combines the discipline of long-term ownership with the urgency of solving real problems. We recognized that many of the most impactful climate and resource solutions already exist in proven form. What is often missing is patient capital, operational focus, and a governance framework that aligns incentives across decades rather than quarters.

We therefore built Clawback as an evergreen investment company. We acquire or develop ownership positions in cash-flow positive businesses that deliver essential products and services while generating measurable environmental benefits. We then work alongside strong operating teams to scale these businesses — expanding geographically, optimizing operations, and reinvesting generated cash flows into further growth.

Our approach is deliberately conservative in risk profile and ambitious in impact. We do not invest in early-stage ventures or unproven technologies. Instead, we focus on companies that have already demonstrated commercial traction and have clear, executable plans for expansion. This allows us to generate reliable cash flows from day one while steadily increasing both the financial and environmental returns of our portfolio.

We are based in Oslo, Norway, and our leadership team combines deep industrial experience with a strong commitment to corporate governance and sustainability. We are building Clawback with the standards and transparency of a future public company — because we believe that long-term success requires the highest levels of accountability and integrity.

Responsible Technology & AI

Responsible Technology. Human First.

At Clawback, we use artificial intelligence thoughtfully and responsibly — always with the goal of empowering people, not replacing them.

Technology should serve people, not the other way around. That is why we have adopted a clear and deliberate approach to artificial intelligence. We do not use AI to reduce headcount or remove human judgment. Instead, we use it to free our team from repetitive, low-value administrative work so that our people can focus on what truly matters: strategic decisions, governance, relationships, and long-term value creation.

By intelligently automating workflows, reporting, data analysis, and operational processes, we significantly reduce the need for large support teams. This efficiency allows us to operate with a lean, high-calibre core team while maintaining the highest standards of quality, oversight, and care.

The result is a more sustainable organisation — one that uses fewer resources for routine tasks and directs more energy toward the activities that create lasting impact for our portfolio companies, stakeholders, and the environment.

We see AI as a powerful enabler of evergreen principles. By making our operations more efficient and less resource-intensive, we strengthen our ability to compound value over decades rather than quarters. Responsible AI use is therefore not just a technological choice — it is a governance and sustainability decision.

We believe the most responsible use of technology is the one that makes organisations more human, not less. At Clawback, AI is a tool that helps us stay lean, focused, and true to our long-term purpose: building sustainable value that endures.

Our Three Commitments

  • Human Oversight First

Every AI-assisted process is designed with clear human review and accountability. AI supports decisions; it does not make them in isolation.

  • Transparency & Governance

We maintain clear internal guidelines for how and where AI is used, aligned with our broader commitment to strong corporate governance.

  • Sustainability Through Efficiency

By reducing the administrative burden, we lower our operational footprint and free up talent and capital for the work that genuinely moves the needle — both financially and environmentally.
